With a turnover of around £340m and over 2,000 staff, Queen Square comprises over 250 beds, multiple sites, extensive outpatient, critical care, theatre, imaging, daycare and pathology services and much more. Its sites include the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, the Pain Management Centre at Cleveland Street and the Gower Assessment Unit at the Epilepsy Society, Chalfont St Peter.

Neuroscience is one of the Trust’s strategic priorities, and the Division has large development programmes ongoing, including a large outpatient, imaging and research facility in partnership with University College London, the ongoing development of its private patient programme and further significant service developments including the recent advances in dementia treatment.

The Division works very closely with UCL’s Institute of Neurology. Neuroscience research at UCL is already ranked 2nd in the world, and the ambition of the division is to become the world’s leading clinical neuroscience provider. A 5-year strategy was launched during 2023.

This is a time of outstanding opportunity for the Division. We have challenging yet achievable operational challenges, large development programmes and exciting strategic plans.

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated and driven candidate to lead Queen Square in the next steps of its journey.
