It is an exciting time to join the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust Podiatry team in Harrow and we are seeking enthusiastic and skilled colleagues to join us as we build on existing models of care and introduce new ways of working. Our transformation plans over the next 12 months will include further integration with primary care, planned and unplanned care models and a greater emphasis on population health. We are expanding the existing workforce by recruiting to the current service portfolio.

We are looking for someone who is a highly experienced Podiatrist within Minor surgery, with leadership, audit and service development experience and who is passionate about delivering high quality and efficient adult community services, giving the best care to our patients. We are keen to enhance the existing models of delivery and ensure that our services deliver integrated care with partners across primary, acute and mental health services. A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes would be helpful.



The post holder will be the Specialist Podiatrist for Minor Operations in the Harrow CLCH Podiatry Service. You will provide highly specialised advice to patients and be a point of contact for colleagues relating to the fuller Minor Operations pathway. You will be proactively responsible for ensuring safe systems of work remain in place during surgery as well as at the pre and operative stages. Paying particular attention to those patients that present and have been impacted by long term systemic conditions manifesting in the lower limb that may be ineligible for surgery

The Post Holder will also be expected to provide line management, input into service development projects, deputise when needed and provide clinical cover to general podiatry, high risk, wound care and other clinics as necessary based on demand of the service.

• To autonomously assess and diagnose patients with a diverse range of medical and podiatric conditions, using appropriate diagnostic techniques, skills and tools
• To diagnose and treat complex toe pathologies relating to the foot ensuring timely management plans are in place
• To provide guidance and support the various podiatry department packages of care. To develop and embed understanding into daily practice for all podiatrists of the minor operations pathway as a strategy to help provide resolution to complex foot issues.
• To be able to recognise acute presentations and to be able to refer patients directly for some diagnostic tests, such as, bloods and x-rays, and to interpret and act accordingly on data provided therein.
