Learning Governance Officer

Salary: Starting salary at £25,147.00 per annum with progression to £27,596.00

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Learning Governance Team at the North West Ambulance Service for a Learning Governance Officer. This is full-time role on a permanent basis (37.5 hours per week) and is based at Trust HQ at Ladybridge Hall, Bolton and a future centralised education team base.

The successful post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and project support to the Trust’s Learning Governance Team.

What will I be doing?

As a valued member of the Learning Governance Team, you will find this to be a busy, varied, and fun role, requiring excellent organisation, communication, and creativity.

Tasks will include:
• Providing ongoing administrative support to the Learning Governance Team.
• Providing data input and analysis in support of management reporting processes
• Coordinating and monitoring all financial activities associated with the work of the Learning Governance Team.
• Dealing with a range of queries relating to the activities of the Learning Governance Team.
• Supporting the work of the Trust’s Education & Learning teams in ensuring the provision of accurate, timely information and analysis of performance relating to funding, standards and compliance of apprenticeships for apprentice employers.
• Managing the administration of the learner recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring documentation is completed to the required standards.
• Supporting the administrative maintenance of learning systems.



North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
