Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Teaching Assistant to join our team for a long term postion.

You will be working in a state-of-the-art Special Needs School, with some of the best resources in London. You will be joining a small, strong and experienced team that are welcoming and extremely supportive. This opportunity requires a successful candidate to be resilient as well as have experience handling difficult behaviour, due to the nature of this role. The job is highly rewarding and gives you the chance to really make a difference to the children's education and day to day school life.

This position offers the opportunity for a temporary role with the potential for a permanent position based on performance and school's needs.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

- Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational requirements.

- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources.

- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtime, and other activities.

- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working with children with Autism, preferably in an educational setting.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom.

- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undergo training as required.

- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.

- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
