Polytec are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for our client based in Royston.
Responsibilities:
* Act as liaison between internal departments and external customers and suppliers
* Develop and implement manufacturing methods from supply chain through to final stage
* Work with designers and engineers throughout product development projects
* Implement best practice methods to improve efficiency in production
* Resolve manufacturing issues through guidance and prioritisation
* Root cause analysis, implementing solutions such as jigs and fixtures, process change or design change
* Develop, maintain and improving manufacturing documentation
* Generate FMEA analysis as required
Requirements:
* Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
* Substantial experience in manufacturing engineering or electromechanical assemblies and implementation of lean manufacturing technologies
* Successful in NPI from design to delivery to production
* Excellent manufacturing engineering and process development skills
* Experience in the design of jigs and fixtures for manufacturing
* A good understanding of engineering principles and Design for Manufacture
* Commercial awareness
