Adolescence is one of the most rapid and formative phases of human development. Ward nurses will offer support to adolescents struggling with tobacco use, alcohol use, drug use, and mental health concerns. Our nurses advocate for the YP on the ward and for policies that will help improve adolescent health overall, and support YP who are struggling with sexual identity. We are also establishing pathways to look at the complicated issues around transition to adult service provision and making sure this process and journey is smooth and consistent for everyone involved.
