Job summary

As a member of our support team, you will be supporting one gentleman to increase his independent living skills. The focus of the support is to enable this gentleman to live a full and happy life, to run his own home and to take part in a range of activities in the community. This gentleman already enjoys going swimming, bike riding, long walks, going out for lunch/dinner, maintaining his garden, and listening to music! But we would like our Support workers to bring creativity and innovative ideas into our teams.

Every day will be different, and rewarding, as you encourage and empower him to be actively engaged in every aspect of his daily life - this will include developing daily living skills, administering medication, meal planning, and encouraging with maintaining his personal and intimate care. You will also provide the physical and emotional support that someone might need to achieve their goals.

Whether you have experience or not, we will help support you to reach your full potential. We want you to develop professionally as a support worker. This means that you are expected to get involved and contribute to meetings, work towards gaining qualifications about your work, attend training courses and be willing to learn new things and ways of working.

We pride ourselves on being a values-based employer and if you are looking for a career in care - there could not be anything more rewarding.
