FT Hours – 35p/w.

To work as a member of the Hartlepool Recovery Connections Community team as a Community Coach. The role will assist in developing the implementation and running of a range of group work activities to support individuals, whilst promoting mutual aid and all pathways to recovery.

This post requires flexible working to ensure consistent cover and some occasional out of hours working over a 7 day period.

Key Duties include:

Assist in developing and running a range of group work activities to support individuals, using relevant and recognised theoretical models.
Promote mutual aid and all pathways of recovery. Support community members to attend mutual aid meetings.
To build strong links within the general community and with local community groups who engage with the local recovery community.
To support the building of the recovery community within Hartlepool and ensure that recovery is visible.
To work alongside members of the recovery community and those attending recovery groups to help support them to identify their recovery support needs and areas where their recovery capital can be strengthened – and to provide linkage and introductions to help them meet these needs.
Ensure that there is the opportunity for those engaging have the opportunity to build networks with community members engaging with Recovery Connections services across the region.
Provide general information and advice to community members who have problematic drug and alcohol use and would benefit from recovery support.
Participate in regular multi-disciplinary review meetings and complete notes/reports as appropriate.
To communicate professionally over the phone and in person with anybody contacting the service.
To collate relevant data and information for monitoring and evaluation processes.
Complete administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
To perform as a full team member supporting colleagues across the work undertaken by Recovery Connections in Hartlepool, and being open to reasonable requests from line management in order to ensure effective working relationships.
Understand, uphold and work with the values, ethos, aims and objectives of the organisation.
