The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Education and Employability Strategy by building the post-16 programme via developing positive learning environments and support measures for all learners to succeed.
We value industry experience in our programme, to help our young people learn from real life scenarios and experience as they take their first steps into shaping a career for themselves. We would welcome a candidate with a background in sport or related subjects such as; Sports Therapy, Sports Analysis and Coaching.
This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who is a qualified teacher with industry experience or someone taking their first steps into their teaching career from a sports background. We welcome applications from candidates willing to study towards a PGCE alongside their work, or a newly qualified teacher looking to make an impact in their first teaching role
As part of the Education and Employability Team, the Tutor will be expected to support and enhance our commitment to our students, by aiding progression into Higher Education and employment. As well as increasing awareness of enterprise and entrepreneurship amongst children and young people by using the backdrop of Lincoln City Football Club’s business enterprise models.
Lincoln City Foundation strives to develop alternative, industry relevant and engaging sports and education programmes to offer an additional alternative for those completing traditional exam and course qualifications (including Traineeships, NCS, BTEC, A Levels and Degree certificate).
The Tutor will be responsible for:
• Work to provide safe, engaging and high-quality delivery to all Foundation customers in line with the programme curriculum and structure.
• To enhance and advance the progression of participants through programme activity, with the aim to make a positive impact on an individual’s health and personal achievement.
• To develop and lead sessions and be responsible for the delivery of content, administration, relevant equipment and participant contribution and involvement. Monitor continuous individual progression of participants, including their educational achievement, resilience and adaptability, and mental wellbeing.
Lincoln City Foundation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
All offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory references, a clear DBS, and the necessary safer recruitment employment checks.
