Summary
The Role: To support a young lady with autism who has global development delay, and finer motor skills, which can affect her mobility. She is looking for a support worker to join her team, and there are varied shifts available.
Main Duties
• For all personal care to be provided
• To engage and support getting out in the community
• To attend the shops, and to go for a walk
• To go to the cinema and the museum
• To always work gently and patiently
• To support with cooking meals
• To promote independence
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Patient but firm
• Experience in Autism would be beneficial
Car owner with driving license and business insurance essential
*This role is a lone working position, and an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) is required for all staff undertaking the role*
Hours: Variable hours available:
Wednesday: 10:00 – 17:00
Friday: 10:00 – 17:00
Friday 6pm – 10am Sunday once a month
Pay: £14.00 per hour, and £75.00 per night
Job Type: Part time
