Summary

Kings Heath Primary Academy is now recruiting for a Key stage 2 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover). This role could be the ideal next step towards Middle/Senior Leadership.

About the role

Carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy’s policies under the direction of the Headteacher.
Be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.
Use a range of appropriate strategies and follow Academy policies for teaching/tutoring, behaviour management and classroom management

Full time - Maternity cover, Fixed Term 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025

Who we are looking for

Qualified Teacher Status.
Evidence of sustained participation in INSET/CPD
Experience of teaching in KS2.
Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching.
Experience of managing teaching resources
Awareness of current developments in Education and the implications of these.
Understanding of effective assessment and target setting procedures.
Play an important part in the wider safeguarding of children – identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action to safeguard and protect them
