Summary

A Vacancy at Northumbria Healthcare - NHFM (Northumbria Healthcare Facilities Management).


If you are friendly, conscientious and interested in working in Domestic Services atWansbeck General Hospital, NHFM would like to hear from you. You will be required to maintain the standards of cleanliness as specified throughout the work areas, by means of approved methods.

We currently have 3 posts available,

post 1-ward based - working 30 hours per week, currently between 7am-7pm, on a rota including a share of weekends and bank holiday dates.

post 2 - department based, working 20 hrs per weekcurrently Monday - Friday 7am-11am.

post 3 - is supporting all areas of the hospital - working 16 hrs per weekas part of our evening pool team. Hours are currently Monday - Friday between 3pm - 6pm or 4pm-7pm.

Other hours may also be available.

Able to complete a range of routine work procedures such as:

Cleaning of floor areas as scheduled by means of vacuuming, mopping, buffing and spray cleaning.

Undertake deep cleaning in areas where infection is present.

Removal of rubbish including domestic and clinical waste from designated areas to disposal point.

Cleaning of sanitary areas, toilet, sinks, shower cubicles and staff changing areas.

Damp dusting of all surfaces, ledges, shelves, curtain rails.

Cleaning of internal glass.

Taking down and putting up of curtains.

Scheduled cleaning of chairs.

To wash walls (shoulder height) fitting and windows where required.

Use all equipment and materials in a correct and safe manner.

Report all faults, queries or problems to the Manager/Domestic Supervisor.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all work areas.

Carry out any urgent spot cleaning and spillage.

Any other duties as deemed appropriate.
