Summary
The Linen Services Department provides a 7 day a week service to deliver clean linen to wards/Depts across the Trust for our patient use.
1 post - 10 hours per week - Saturday & Sunday Weekend Service
7.00am to 12 noon
The postholder will be expected to work with a flexible approach and be expected to provide assistance as required in the busy linen room with the distribution of linen to wards and departments at the main acute site of Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan.
Experience of a similar working environment will be an advantage. The ability to receipt and audit goods efficiently and accurately is required. Operation of the on site laundry facilities for the washing and drying of baby items is also required. Also allocation and recording of signatures from staff for collected uniform maybe required.
The postholder will also be expected to take part in the new Bank Holiday rota system to ensure a continuous service for our patients.
