Summary


Come and join our thriving dietetic team, providing high quality care for Stroke and Neurology inpatients across both the acute and community hospitals in Cornwall.



To work as part of the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust (RCHT)/Cornwall Foundation Trust (CFT) Nutrition and Dietetic team providing dietetic support and advice to patients and Health Professionals in the area of stroke and acute neurology working across multiple sites in Cornwall.

To undertake direct and non-direct clinical work that contributes to the delivery of a high quality safe and effective dietetic service

To develop appropriate resources as required.

To keep accurate records in accordance with RCHT/CFT and Health Professions Council regulations/policy.

To contribute to research, quality improvement and audit within the Nutrition and Dietetic service

To deliver a quality, evidence-based nutrition and dietetic service to acute neurology and inpatient stroke care in Cornwall.

May be required to deliver a service to more complex clinical areas depending on job role

To represent the nutrition and dietetic department in multi-professional groups and contribute to policy making

To work as member of the Nutrition and Dietetic team across Cornwall

May be required to work with patients in their own homes or in an outpatient setting

To provide a dietetic service which may entail weekend work and bank holidays to support RCHT/CFT aim of implementing a seven day service

To have a high level of knowledge, skills and experience in order to approach tasks with an open and understanding mind and deal with situations in a timely and empathic manner.

To supervise and support dietetic support workers and Band 5 Dietitians.

To supervise and support students

To work as a key member of the specialist teams caring for adults with acute neurology and stroke
