Summary

Band 6 Physiotherapist – Acute Stroke

Due to the relocation of the current post holder, we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 physiotherapist to join the Stroke Unit team at Kingston Hospital. The Stroke Unit is a 20 bedded ward with the majority of patients being admitted from the HASU at St George’s or Charing Cross. The Stroke Unit benefits from a very strong MDT and the physiotherapists work closely with the occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, doctors and nursing teams. We have also developed excellent working relationships with our community providers and further rehab units such as QMH at Roehampton. The physiotherapy team consists of a Band 7 physiotherapist, 1 static Band 6 physiotherapist, a rotational Band 5 and a Band 4 therapy assistant.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced physiotherapist to join the acute stroke unit. The candidate will be able to demonstrate an advanced level of physiotherapy skills and expertise specific to this specialty. You should have a special interest in expanding and consolidating your skills in Neurological Rehabilitation. Please read the person specification closely before applying for this post. If you are a highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive individual who has a passion for stroke rehab and excellent team working and leadership skills then we would love to hear from you.
