About the role:
Due to internal secondments to another project, Activate Learning are recruiting for a Group Learning Technologist to backfill their positions.
As one of our Learning Technologists you would be responsible for developing high-quality, interactive, and modular digital learning experiences and assets to enhance the learner experience and engagement with online learning.
Taking requirements from internal stakeholders, you'll provide support, advice and guidance to prepare a development timeline to meet their requirements. Project managing throughout this timeline, you'll work collaboratively within the team and with other stakeholders in the business to develop digital assets and bring digital learning content to life.
Alongside this the team supports the running of college learning environments, and some library cover may be required to support your colleagues.
These are full-time roles on fixed-term contracts until March 2025. This will be based at our City of Oxford College campus.
What do you need to be successful as a Group Learning Technologist at Activate Learning?
The successful candidate must have 2-3 years experience working in eLearning/Creative Industries, and experience creating high quality learning experiences and multimedia assets. With knowledge of developing eLearning for accessibility (minimum WCAG 2.0 AA) you'll understand instructional design methodologies, design theory, story boarding and using request management services.
Ideally you would have significant experience of working in a fast paced digital environment, collaborating across teams. Due to the library cover that may be required, experience of customer service would be desirable.
We're looking for candidates who have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, planning skills and knowledge of project management.
While not necessary, knowledge of the Further Education sector and specific challenges of creating eLearning in an FE environment would be an advantage. Your application would also be supported by a knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, an understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and an awareness of the latest developments in digital learning.
