Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our busy phlebotomy team at New Cross Hospital.

Excellent phlebotomy skills are essential for this role. Paediatric Phlebotomy skills and supervisory experience would be desirable but training will be provided in these areas to a suitable candidate. You must be committed to delivering a high standard of service in line with our Trust values.

Phlebotomy duties include taking blood samples from patients, labelling tubes, and the storing of samples for Pathology.

The working pattern will include shifts between the hours of 08.00-18.00, Monday to Friday. The majority of the shifts will be at the New Cross site but will also include the Gem Children's Centre and South Staffordshire GP surgeries when required.

It is essential that you hold a Full UK driving license and have use of a vehicle.

The post holder will be responsible for line management e.g. annual leave, appraisals etc. for a small team of phlebotomists who work across the South Staffordshire surgeries. You will be expected to respond positively to the changing demands of the service.
