At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.
We’re recruiting for a Handover and Completions Director, to join our Technical Team in our Routewide section of works!
This role will be based from our office in Milton Keynes. Ad-Hoc travel across our sections and sites will be required. As our sites are remote from towns and villages, we do ask that you hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle to be able to get to the locations.
As a Handover and Completions Director you will be accountable and responsible for the performance of the quality, handover, completion and commissioning activities across the business whilst developing and implementing the Handover, Completion and Commissioning Strategy.
You will be required to drive and provide the expectations and approach for compliance with HS2 Works information, standards, and contract technical requirements, which include 3rd party relevant standards and contract ethnical requirements such as Network Rail. You will work closely with the Project Directors to manage integration, interfaces and ensure a collective standing as a leadership community.
Key aspects of this position require the ideal candidate to monitor performance of quality, handover, completion, and commissioning activities using key metrics and prepare reports for review with the Project Directors and SLT. To lead and mentor the organisation on all quality, handover, completion, and commissioning matters.
You will need to develop and maintain quality, handover, completions and commissioning policies, procedures, and guidance in the Business Management System, and ensure that required deliverables are understood and tracked. You will also need to ensure quality, handover, completions, and commissioning elements of the BMS respect or exceed Parent requirements. Where appropriate you will be required to feedback to parent companies’ potential for improvement or learning. You will also be required to promote best practice and drive innovative solution business strategies, project solutions and lead our “Speak Up” and “Choices” programme.
As a Handover and Completions Director it is vital that you establish and maintain effective and collaborative formal and informal relationships with HS2, other MWCC JV’s and key stakeholders. Ensuring an adequate and effective audit regime is implemented across the business, based on risk & activity, and including reactive and proactive (panel review) audits.

About The Candidate

- Degree [or similar] level qualification in civil engineering or another relevant field. Ideally, holding or working towards being a Chartered professional
- Extensive experience in project execution with a strong background in handover, completion, and commissioning activities on major projects
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to drive efficient delivery and business improvement
- Excellent communication and engagement skills
