Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Environment Assistant Manager to work on our Capital Delivery Contract contract in South London.
As the Environment Assistant Manager you will be part of our SHEQ team. You will be required to manage all aspects of waste management in line with WM3.
You will monitor and review all environmental events ensuring all incidents and near misses are correctly reported, categorised, and processed. Prior to incident close-out you will ensure root causes for environmental events have been determined and any remedial actions closed out. You will liaise with designers, ecologists, and environmental habitat experts to coordinate, identify, and provide mitigation measures to support delivery. You will be responsible for carrying out site inspections, ensuring legal compliance to applicable environmental legislation and Management systems to ISO14001 is maintained.
You will support Operational Teams in the production of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP). You will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining Environmental Management System procedures, templates & forms as appropriate. You will be required to provide strategic support to the Head of SHEQ and wider team. Ensuring we keep ahead of environmental legislation, whilst delivering continual environmental improvements.
You will attend appropriate Operational & Client meetings as the Environmental Lead for the Team. You will also facilitate site visits/meetings with regulatory bodies accordingly. You will assist with the monitoring, analysis of and reporting of environmental performance on the contract.
Do you have a good understanding of Waste Management and WM3 sampling?
Are you qualified to degree level of Environmental knowledge and qualifications, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline and/or demonstrable, significant work-based experience?
Do you have knowledge of environmental legislation with good understanding of regulatory enforcement outcomes?
Have you gained experience in working with operational sites and teams in construction or utilities sector?
Are you a experienced and confident auditor?

Can you demonstrate experience of implementing and maintaining an environmental management system to ISO14001 standard?
Do you hold excellent IT skills and willingness to learn new systems?

Can you demonstrate skills in the investigation and reporting associated with effective root cause analysis and close out of environmental incidents?
