Summary

Abbey View is one of many Paragon manufacturing sites across the UK. The site specialises in production of outbound and inbound document services. The site contains printing, mailing and warehousing capability for the purposes of outbound mail and postal receipt, scanning and document storage for the purposes of inbound mail. In addition, Production Services, Finance and IT functions reside on the site. Both Inbound and Outbound operations provide services for multiple customers.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that solutions developed are functioning as per agreed specification without defects through diligent testing criteria. The Test Analyst role is key in ensuring a smooth roll-out of Outbound solutions to clients and internal stakeholders. They input into test estimates and execute test cases whilst accurately reporting progress and test metrics. At the completion of the test phase, the Test Analyst ensures that all exit documentation is in place and appropriately archived; they will then support the UAT and implementation phases as necessary.
The person in this role needs to be IT literate and have previous testing experience, in a production-based environment.

Good communication skills with a willingness to talk to other areas of the business to gather information will be required. The Test Analyst will be expected to employ established test processes and to follow standard procedures.
The Test Analyst will be expected to support Continuous Improvement and Service Improvement initiatives, when not supporting any project or change deliverables, as well as further their own learning and development. During peak periods, there may also be a requirement for the Test Analyst to indirectly manage a pool of resources (such as seconded or temporary staff), to satisfy project/change requirements.

Key Competencies:
Estimation & Planning:
· Produce estimates for testing
· Monitor estimates, escalating risks as appropriate
· Produce test plans/approach
· Review & analyse project documentation (such as BRD, FRS, SDD)
· Represent at internal/external project workshops/meetings

Testing:
· Execute test cases in accordance with test estimates
· Develop and document test cases
· Create weekly project status reports
· Defect management
· UAT / QA support
· Implementation/warranty support

Process Improvement:
· Identify and implement Service Improvement initiatives
Identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives

Essential Skills:
· Print & Mail Knowledge
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
