Summary

Job Description:

The Bar Manager will play a key role in defining and delivering an exceptional beverage experience at Daffodil. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and training in wines and spirits, preferably with WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualified to Level 3/4. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the bar, from curating wine and spirits selections to leading a dynamic team, ensuring the highest standards of service and customer satisfaction.



Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar, ensuring efficient service and a high-quality customer experience.

Curate a diverse and appealing selection of wines and spirits, aligning with the venue’s style and clientele.

Effectively schedule staff, monitor booking trends and collaborate with the Marketing Team to drive customer footfall and hit operational targets.

Recruit, train and lead the bar team, fostering a culture of excellence, knowledge and professionalism.

Manage inventory, including ordering, stock control and supplier relations.

Develop and implement bar service standards, procedures and training programmes.

Collaborate with other managers and the kitchen team to create cohesive beverage pairings and themed events.

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and licensing laws.

Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.



Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a high-end bar or restaurant.

WSET Level trained or equivalent qualification in wines and spirits.

Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - logistically excellent.

Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.

Good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
