Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a School Transport Passenger Assistant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their journey to and from school. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their educational experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist students as they board and exit the school transport vehicle.
Ensure students are seated safely and securely throughout the journey.
Monitor student behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Provide support to students with special needs or disabilities, including helping them to fasten seatbelts or secure mobility aids.
Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, and parents regarding any issues or concerns related to student transportation.
Follow established procedures for emergency situations, including evacuating the vehicle if necessary.
Maintain a clean and organized environment within the school transport vehicle.
Qualifications:
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
Hours and Compensation: Hourly rate dependant on run available.
