POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Director UK and Ireland contributes to the formulation of the AXA Partners UK and Ireland IT Strategy based on AXA Group, AXA Partners and AXA Partners UK and Ireland vision / ambition. You will provide Leadership, ensure excellent service delivery to our customers and that client contractual expectations are met, enable Transformation and oversee a “secured” execution of IT and Digital solutions across the Business and IT Transformation context. You will drive teams and partners to ensure 24/7/365 IT availability, SLAs accomplishment and to manage incidents effectively. You will enable the transformation of AXA Partners business model by co-creating, sponsoring and driving associated projects deploying them on time, budget, quality and scope. You will contribute to Strat Plan of the business with the rest of the UK ComEx and assures the creation and deployment of technology capabilities across their perimeter. You will report directly to the AXA Partners Regional CIO and have a dotted-line with the Head sub-region UK and Ireland.

DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
· Accountable for establishing and driving IT and digital capabilities; this includes the leadership and management of ~40 FTEs in local teams, 2 locations, 2 datacentres and ~40 applications mostly related to Motor and Home business lines.
· Accountable for the BAU budget (plus rebilling control) and investment budget
· Member of the AXA Partners UK and Ireland ComEx and UK and Ireland Risk Committee and Conduct Risk Board.
· Member of the MandH Transformation Governance.
· Member of the Regional CIO IT Leadership team.
· Member of the AXA Partners Security SteerCo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will ensure that IT is a valuable business partner, 100% aligned with the business strategy, delivering customer first solutions and services that help drive the growth of AXA Partners
IT and Digital Strategy and Solution Delivery
The role encompasses translating strategic objectives into business/IT plans, implementing centrally defined architecture, and designing integrations between central and local capabilities. It also involves delivering IT services with a focus on efficiency and quality, overseeing technological architecture for optimal performance, and maintaining network infrastructure. Additionally, the role includes defining and managing SLAs, applying Group Solutions projects and delivery policies, influencing Group/Central Solutions Teams, and ensuring security aligned with ISO 2700x standard for both on-premises and cloud solutions.
Contribute to business transformation through leveraging technology and innovation
You will lead the execution of the IT/digital transformation strategy to enhance Customer Experience and drive internal improvements. It also includes managing local activities related to IT transformation programs, executing global transformation strategies, and leveraging agile methodologies and cloud technology. Additionally, the role entails utilizing centrally defined Target Operating Model (TOM) to improve quality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives, while also focusing on technological levers for growth, cost efficiencies, risk reduction, and increased Customer NPS.
Security
You will be accountable for maintaining applications and systems free of vulnerabilities and leading the first line of defense for security in coordination with stakeholders. Additionally, it involves delivering the Security Quartile ONE ambition within the defined time, scope, and budget.
Lead and drive IT Transformation
You will lead and drive IT transformation by being accountable for the move to the Cloud program, the Application Landscape Simplification initiative, and ensuring the smooth implementation of strategic IT axes within the organization. This includes transitioning from waterfall/on-premise to cloud/agile/DevOps generation and significantly improving IT processes by leveraging Agile principles where relevant.
Governance
You will lead governance meetings for AXA Partners IT UK and Ireland and contributing to IT strategy definition, while also promoting IT principles and ensuring compliance with Group Architecture and Security Policies. Additionally, participation in Transformation initiatives SteerCos is expected.
People Management
You will lead a high-performance team by motivating, developing, and coaching team members to achieve excellence through goal setting, performance monitoring, and development plans. It also includes identifying and nurturing talent, managing workloads, and handling employee relations issues effectively. Additionally, managing cost-effectiveness, communicating effectively, and building relationships within and beyond the team are crucial. Understanding the company's strategy, managing financial procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business development are also part of the role. Overall, the role encompasses people management, business management, and effective communication to drive performance and collaboration.
SMandCR
