Summary

Your new company
A caring and supportive independent accountancy firm in Leicestershire is seeking to appoint a Personal Tax Senior to manage a varied portfolio of clients.

Your new role
Working with a designated portfolio of clients - mainly wealthy individuals and trusts, you will manage the self-assessment tax returns process from start to finish, liaising regularly with clients, colleagues in the accounts team and HMRC to resolve queries, preparing returns for submission, completing capital gains calculations and reports, trust administration and p11d forms.
Alongside tax compliance elements of the role, you will also have the opportunity to support the Tax Directors with advisory work associated with tax planning for wealthy individuals to ensure their tax affairs are managed effectively.

What you'll need to succeed
You will possess prior experience preparing personal tax returns either as the main focus of your current role or as part of a wider practice position. It would be great if you have completed ATT qualifications (or other accountancy/ tax qualifications), however, prior experience in a tax role will be key. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines and use a range of accounting systems (particularly IRIS).

What you'll get in return
If you are looking to join a firm led by well-regarded Directors who truly care about their staff, this is the ideal role for you. Work-life balance and staff well-being are given high importance within this growing firm. Additionally, you will work with very knowledgeable Tax Directors and will have real ownership over your work.
Hybrid working is in place (2 days WFH after initial probation is completed) and the firm operate flexible start/finish times. Free staff parking is available at the offices and professional development is strongly supported.
