Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in West Sussex to assist with the appointment of a Support Worker, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.59 - £15.40 per hour

Responsibilities:

Encourage customers to access, integrate and interact as members of the community, supporting customers to access community based provision as per their provider plan.
Support customers when using transport to attend the day centre or community based services.
Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide clear and concise specialist advice and guidance to a range of customers. Be able to work with customers who are less able to express themselves and have an understanding of non-verbal communication.
To work in partnership with health and social care colleagues to deliver the requirements of the provider plan and ensure the health, safety and well-being of the customer and others involved in their care.
Act as an impartial professional point of contact for other professionals, family members and carers, and be able to understand and interpret information and feed this back to senior members and/or seek support.
Work with the customers to provide a safe environment and be conscious of the need for safety and take appropriate action as required under Health and Safety legislation, including the day to day monitoring of equipment, e.g. hoists, and report concerns.

Qualifications:

NVQ 2 in Care or equivalent qualification

You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires an enhanced DBS
