Summary
Please refer to the Job Description attached however the main Clinical duties of the role are: 1. To undertake both brief and more extensive protocol based (initial) ADHD assessments of clients including any relevant psychometric measures; neuropsychological tests; self-report measures; rating scales; direct and indirect structured observations; and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care. 2. To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the non-medical treatment and/or management of a client’s problems, under the clinical supervision of a qualified professional working within the team within primary-care based settings. 3. To, potentially, assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups (future development). 4. To work with other staff to assess and review adults with ADHD. 5. To assist in the development and advise upon the implementation of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service. 6. To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings. 7. To communicate professionally and effectively with patients, the team and other services especially as many of those we see have (sometime complex) co-morbid issues and will need support from various services across health and social care beyond what we would be able to offer. 8. To function independently on a day-to-day basis with work managed through regular reviews and clinical supervision sessions.
