Summary

With previous experience working with children and young people in schools or even a residential care setting, you can demonstrate strong organisation, communication, leadership skills and focus on supporting student independence irrespective of their challenges. This is an opportunity to use your expertise to mentor less experienced staff members and work through strategies which best fit the needs of the individual students.
In addition, the HLTA role needs someone who:
Has the ability to adapt and act swiftly to challenging situations
Has a high level of patience and emotional resilience.
A non-judgmental attitude regardless of a person's needs or behaviours.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with challenging situations.
The ability to keep up with changing standards and codes of conduct.
Be willing to undertake training and personal development in line with changing standards.
Every person working in education is subject to an Enhanced DBS and reference check.
We are unable to offer sponsorship, so only those with existing eligibility to live and work in the UK will be considered.
