Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Mentor to join an SEN School team.

Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, particularly focusing on SEMH needs.
- Implement strategies to manage and address challenging behaviour effectively.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and SENCO to create a supportive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, offering guidance and encouragement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised behaviour plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour incidents.

Requirements:
- Full-time availability; no part-time candidates will be considered.
- Minimum of 6 months experience working within a school setting, preferably in SEN.
- Understanding of SEMH and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
- Possession of an enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Availability to work during term times.
- Kind, caring, and empathetic towards students' needs.
- Patient and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Thorough understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning.
- Proficient in implementing effective strategies to manage behaviour.
