Summary


Frimley Health Foundation Trust has an exciting vacancy for a fixed-term Band 6 Senior Surgical Dietitian. The post-holder will work within the acute adult team covering surgical wards and also a caseload of complex medical patients at Frimley Park Hospital. This is a fixed term, part-time role for 8 months, with the potential to extend.

The successful applicant will work closely as part of the multi-disciplinary team, support the development of the surgical department, raise the dietetic profile at clinical governance groups, train healthcare professionals and link with the dietetic services across Frimley Health Foundation Trust. This is a great opportunity to develop and practice skills and knowledge within this expertise e.g. training on parenteral nutrition skills.

• To provide assessment, treatment and management of surgical and complex medical inpatients
• To provide an effective high-quality service to all in and outpatients
• To act as a specialist resource for the medical/surgical team and Dietitians
• To be responsible for service development, implement policy and policy changes and to set and monitor standards of practice
• To undertake evidence-based projects, including recommendations and to develop audit and research in this area
• To be flexible in times of increased capacity to the service
