Summary

We are keen to enable our patients to achieve optimum function and independence and quality of life. You will play a key part in this along with your nursing and therapy colleagues. To assist you with this you will receive support and development through in service training, regular appraisals, a personal development plan and clinical supervision.

You must be self-motivated, able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills and have good communication skills.

The post will be based on Alder Ward in Norwich. You will work as a member of the therapy team on the ward where you will support the registered Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists and Band 4 Assistant Practitioner. Your main duties will involve reviewing mobility, transfers, personal activities of daily living and exercise programmes as appropriate. You will be responsible for feeding back details of each patients progress to other members of the therapy team.

NCHC have electronic patient records and there is an expectation that you using a computer to enable you to work with your patients and record their care during the clinical consultation where appropriate. You will receive support and training to enable you to use this functionality.
