Summary


An exciting opportunity is now available for the right candidate to join Sefton Sexual Health at Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust.

This post is open to nurses those wishing to develop through Annex 21 route. For Annex 21, you will be based as a paid employee within Sefton Sexual Health Team as a Trainee Sexual Health Nurse. You will be contracted on standard AFC Terms and Conditions with the addition of Annex 21, where you will be paid as a Trainee for 6-12 months. Under Annex 21 you will see increases in your pay based on your acquired and applied theory to practice. This would include being supported to obtain FSRH Diploma in Sexual Health.

We are looking for a Part-time member of the team to work across the service working in both hub and spoke clinics and are looking to recruit staff to cover them. All applicants will need to be flexible as you may be required to work cross-site, as well as weekends, evenings and in outreach settings.

We are looking for a nurse who is responsive to change, self-motivated and committed to the delivery of high-quality care within our Sexual Health Services.

This post is open to experienced Sexual Health nurses and those that would like to start a new career in Sexual Health. Full training will be given during a training period for those with limited experience to enable you to deliver integrated sexual health services across Sefton.

You should be willing to deliver all contraception methods including LARC and to be able to see patients for a range of sexually transmitted infections and work under PGD’s and will also need to be flexible and motivated to learn new skills You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of team.

Hours of work: 22 hours per week
