Summary
First Steps Nursery (Lowton WA3 2RD) is seeking to employ a Level 3 qualified (or above) nursery practitioner to work full time Monday-Friday (part time positions may be available for the right candidate) We would also consider someone with a Level 2 qualification with experience. Please note your qualification must be on the Government list of approved Early Years qualifications.
- Candidates must have a recognised Level 3 or above childcare qualification and experience of working in a nursery is desired.
- You must have a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special and loved.
- You have to feel comfortable telling everyone in the same room as you that you are going to the toilet!
- The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential!
- You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required.
- Possessing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of upmost importance.
- You must be able to remain focused in environments with high noise levels.
- The ability to remember the names of many children, their parents, siblings, grandparents, pets and special soft toys is a key component of this job. This is something that will be developed over time!
- Automatically showing an interest in and curiousity for bugs and creepy crawlies is essential, even if they are your biggest fear on earth.
- Must have the ability to pretend to eat playdough creations realistically. This is an essential requirement along with drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
- Love being outside come rain or shine.
- Finally you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families. There is simply no other job quite like this one.
