Summary


To act as the strategic neuropsychology lead for North London MH Partnership. To oversee the teams providing neuropsychology services to service users, and their families and carers. To have strategic responsibility for the development, provision, and management of neuropsychology input to these services and related teams.

To act as the Neuropsychology training and education lead providing strategic leadership and governance of neuropsychology across the partnership.

To work as a senior clinician in the service, providing an advanced level of psychological expertise in assessment, advice and treatment and offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

To work as a senior clinician in the service, providing an advanced level of psychological expertise in assessment, advice and treatment and offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to referrers, non-psychologist colleagues and other, non-professional carers.

To provide highly specialist psychological assessments, using interview, formal psychometric and other assessment methods as appropriate, for clients referred.

To formulate and provide highly specialist psychological treatment and management plans for clients referred, based on NICE guidelines and other frameworks; working autonomously and using the full range of clinical judgement where there is complexity that requires interpretation of standard guidance.

To make final clinical decisions for highly challenging and complex clients, taking into account the wider system.

To provide advice and information to people referred to the Psychology service to support them with adjustment to their health condition and to help them develop coping strategies to manage the impact of this condition.

To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals, to assist in the formulation, diagnosis and treatment of clients.

To provide reports and communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients, including working with people with high levels of emotional distress and complex physical health conditions, interacting with their psychological presentation.
