Role requirements
As a Community Care Worker you’ll have an ability to provide care delivered with compassion and enthusiasm, while contributing positively to an individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing. You’ll need:
• At least 6 months experience of caring professionally or for a loved one in the UK
• The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility
• A valid Moving and Handling certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• This position requires applicants to be registered with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
• Applicants must hold a valid driver's licence and have reliable access to a personal vehicle
You could make a difference to an individual's life
Our service user is outgoing and has an interest in all things arts and crafts. She has full capacity and is very independent, but with your help she will really be able to make the most out of every day.
In this Community Care Worker role, you'll be delivering care in the home of a 50 year old lady who has ME and Functional Weakness. As her carer, you'll be helping to support her around the house with day-to-day living tasks such as cooking nutritious meals and reminding her to take her medication. You'll need to have a good understanding of her condition and will be able to work closely with her to attend to her needs.
Shifts: Monday-Sunday (10:00-16:00).
