Occupational Therapy is a vital function of our Children’s Disability Team, the Children’s Social Care vision in Hull is of ‘a life not a service’. Children’s Social Care is person centred and focuses on individuals’ strengths to support them to take control of improving their own health, resilience, and wellbeing. We want to maximise people’s independence so individuals can achieve their goals and aspirations and live life to the fullest.
We have established a close working relationship with multi-disciplinary teams across Childrens Social Care, and health colleagues within the NHS and as such we are not only able to collectively offer exceptional care and support to the people of Hull but also can offer excellent training, support, and development in your career.
The successful candidate will have the following:

HCPC registration as Occupational Therapist
Knowledge of safeguarding legislation including the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
A passion to work with children and young people to enable them to live their life and not receive a service.
