Summary

KS3 Maths and PE Teacher for SEND School

Telford, West Midlands, UK

Full-Time

Are you passionate about empowering students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential in both academics and physical education? We are currently seeking a dedicated KS3 Maths and PE Teacher to join our supportive team at our SEND school in Telford.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in both Mathematics and Physical Education to Key Stage 3 students with diverse learning needs.
• Create inclusive learning environments that accommodate the individual needs and abilities of students with SEND.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and adapt curriculum materials and assessments to meet the specific needs of students.
• Provide ongoing assessment, feedback, and support to facilitate student progress and achievement in both subject areas.
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes confidence, self-esteem, and well-being among students.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience teaching Mathematics and Physical Education at Key Stage 3 level.
• Experience working with students with SEND, with a strong understanding of their diverse needs and effective strategies for differentiation.
• Ability to effectively plan and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
• Adaptability and resilience to meet the challenges and rewards of working in a SEND school environment.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies and approaches.
• Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
