Customade Group is a manufacturer and supplier of uPVC and aluminium windows and doors to trade customers. We are pleased to
announce that we now have an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stonehouse.
Job Purpose:
A critical part of the team and operations, you will provide the engineering expertise to keep the business operating efficiently.
You will maintain the production equipment to minimize downtime and maximise production output, ensure that equipment is safe to
use, react to breakdowns and technical issues, create and carry out planned maintenance programmes. Working as part of the team,
you will support with improvement projects, liaise with external parties, order parts, train employees on equipment use, etc.
Key Duties:
* Reduce downtime through prompt response to breakdown of equipment
* Create and deliver a planned maintenance programme to reduce breakdowns and maximise output capability
* Provide safe, reliable, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions
* Work in close liaison with management team
* Ensure H&S compliance of all equipment on site
* Ensure safe working practices are adhered to
* Take full responsibility for all sub-contractors and other external maintenance and engineering workers
* Uphold and comply with Group H&S Policy, Procedures, safe working practices, legislation and regulation including LOLER, PUWER,
CoSHH etc
* Manage engineering stores efficiently ensuring adequate supply of essential engineering replacement parts
* Communicate with all relevant departments on the technical state of each engineering activity across site at all times
* Take responsibility for your own personal development, keeping abreast of changes in technology, techniques and regulation
Person Specification
Key Skills
* Experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance engineering is essential
* Engineering qualifications (including 17th edition electrical) is essential
* Problem solving and action planning
* Planning, organising and time management
* Building effective relationships and influencing change
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent customer service skills
* Strong computer literacy
* Numeracy
* Flexible in approach, self motivated, strong decision making skills and excellent attention to detail
Desirable Experience
* Experience gained within a manufacturing environment

Salary: £42,000pa
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours (Week 1 – 7am-3pm / Week 2 – 3pm to 11pm)
