Summary

A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.


Based at either Queens Hospital Burton (QHB) or Royal Derby Hospital (RDH).

This is a 2-year Fixed term / Secondment, rotational training post working within each operational area of the pharmacy department, which, dependent on site, may include Dispensing Services, Aseptic Services, Chemotherapy Services, Logistic Services and completing Medicines Management Services at ward level.

Entry requirements:
5 GCSEs at grades 4 - 9 including Maths, English language and 1 Science

Familiar with using a computer including Word and Excel packages.
Able to demonstrate a commitment to studying outside working hours.

For apprenticeships only – Must be aged 16 years or over, live in England and have eligible residency status with the right to work in England and not be enrolled onto another government funded programme.

The post holder will work as part of the pharmacy team to provide an
effective patient focussed pharmacy service across the specified areas, whilst working towards a Level 3/4 qualification delivered by an accredited learning provider.

The post holder will undertake supervised training in the principles and practice of Pharmacy over a 2 year period, gaining the technical knowledge, skills and experience required to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
