Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic dietitian with some general experience in ward work to join our team and contribute to the service provided to our 22 bedded critical care unit. This is an exciting time to work at Oldham Hospital following the development of our new colorectal surgical unit. You will be responsible for managing an inpatient caseload of patients requiring Enteral, Parenteral and Oral Nutritional support on both the critical care unit, alongside the advanced clinical lead dietitian, and on general wards. Experience in critical care is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Provision of the daily dietetic service to the critical care unit, including the use of indirect calorimetry
Attendance at weekly MDT meetings, and AHP MDT meetings
Contributing to the service provided to patients receiving parenteral nutrition across the hospital
Participating in regular ward education of critical care staff
Training of student dietitians on placements 1, 2 and 3
