Summary


We are offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, ambitious, and motivated Systemic & Family Psychotherapist to join Hammersmith & Fulham LAC CAMHS.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and innovative clinician with a broad range of experience, who will be able to maintain clinical curiosity and engage in reflective practice, as well as be able to be an advocate for children, young people and families’ needs.

West London CAMHS employs family therapists across many specialties including generic CAMHS, Crisis CAMHS, Eating Disorders, Neuro-developmental Conditions and Learning Disabilities.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside other family therapists in a family therapy clinic in addition to holding an individual caseload. You will receive regular clinical, professional and management supervision from the Principal Systemic & Family Psychotherapist. In turn you will provide supervision to band 7 Systemic & Family therapists in line with the supervision structure. We offer a wide range of in house and external training opportunities e.g. Narrative therapy; NVR; CYP-IAPT. West London CAMHS has good relationships with local family therapy training providers and we offer specialist placements to trainees.

We are looking for a Highly Specialist Systemic & Family Psychotherapist who is able to demonstrate a commitment to creative engagement with a culturally diverse population of young people, shows initiative, is a team player and is able to communicate ideas clearly to both professionals and young people alike.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge, competence and an interest in working with children who present with complex mental health needs is essential for the role. The Highly Specialist Systemic & Family Psychotherapist will also need to be flexible and have the necessary skills and experience to provide high quality care that is both evidence based and client focussed.

You will offer a comprehensive and high-quality specialist service to looked after children and young people as well as the network around them. This will include assessment and intervention as well as offering a consultation service to the child’s social worker and network around them.
