A fantastic new opportunity has opened for a Events Executive to join our team at The Midland, Manchester.

You will be tasked with professionally co-ordinating a variety of contracted meeting and events. You will be able to demonstrate first class customer service skills, have the ability to adapt and multi- task whilst having that keen eye for detail. Your key responsibility is to ensure that all event final details including delegate numbers, rooming’s lists and timings are collected from the event organiser to pass on to the hotel operations team.

Key Responsibilities of the Events Executive:
Process all allocated contracted bookings ensuring all final detail including delegate numbers, rooming’s lists and timings are collected from booker.
Arrange and conduct final details meeting/calls with organiser prior to event. Ensuring they are fulfilled professionally, efficiently and effectively and mirror the requirements of the visiting client whilst enabling you to gather all relevant information in order to produce function sheet.
Update Sales & Catering/Opera with accurate and relevant information ensuring revenue is loaded in line with event contract.
Produce function sheets for all events ensuring all necessary detail is noted.
Ensure all rooming list details and requirements are gathered and handed across to Groups Co-ordinator
Arrange initial pre event brief meeting for all clients on day one of their event ensuring hotel operations team are in attendance.
Arrange post event debrief for all clients on the last day of their event, ensuring debrief contains discussion.
regarding future requirements/rebook and completion of venue verdict feedback form which will be issued by email post event.
Increase conversion of event rebooks by developing client Relationships.
Work with Meeting & Events Business Development Manager/ Hotel Meeting & Events Planning Manager to ensure revenue targets are achieved by promoting rebook of events and upselling of products/services.
Identify new sales leads, chase and secure the lead with the guidance of the Sales Manager.
Be familiar of sister hotels where cross-selling opportunities exist and ensure leads are forwarded on and followed up.

Carry out the company's customer relations policy and communicate hotel services to guests.
Maintain high standards of self-presentation at all times.
Work in accordance with Standard operating procedures for the department.
Keep staff/work areas tidy, safe and report any hazard, accident, loss or damage to management.

An awareness of hotel corporate and conference sectors.
An understanding of Opera / Fidelio PMS systems to include Sales & Catering.
Keep abreast of industry news / performance / relevant new initiatives.

Educated to HND/Degree level or similar
Experience of PMS systems including Opera.
