Summary
It’s an exciting time to join AXA Health, with investment planned to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. As part of this, we’re looking for an established doctor to join AXA Health’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO) team in a brand new, permanent role.
As Deputy Chief Medical Officer, you’ll lead and support definition and development of treatment delivery strategy. Where necessary, you’ll implement changes to improve effectiveness and efficiencies in AXA Health member treatment outcomes. Working hours Monday – Friday. No evenings, weekends or Bank Holidays.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work 1 – 2 days of your week away from home, either at Tunbridge Wells office, visiting clients or attending industry events. Occasional travel to our London office.

What you’ll be doing:
As lead doctor, provide clinical advice for the design, sign off and ongoing management of AXA Health treatment delivery strategy (known as pathways).
Identify key priorities for pathway development, the evidence-base for pathways and assist in practical design, deployment, ongoing monitoring, and data led iterative improvement.
Advise on all aspects of member treatment. Identify opportunities for direction, sharing clinical advice in design and implementation of strategies to identify, assess and control risk.
Manage, develop and be first point of escalation for the Clinical Quality and Governance team.Support the wide range of CMO team activities, deputising as needed.
