Summary


Under the direction of the Hotel Service Manager and working very closely with the hotel service team, you will need to monitor the activity of the 3 buildings. This includes the 2 main reception and 3 main waiting areas where you will provide service efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to patients and visitors. You will also look after the hospitality areas with-in the consulting rooms and the sub wait areas the are station on each floor. You will also work closely with the other members of the hotel service team regarding ordering.

To ensure the above is carried out efficiently and effectively and that a high standard of front of house porter/concierge services is maintained and to ensure compliance with current policies, procedures and guidelines set out for the clinic in keeping with:
• Vision and Values of the Private Patient Directorate
• The Royal Brompton & Harefield Policies and Protocols

The post holder will comply with clinical governance and take part in any inspection requested by statutory bodies such as Health and safety or CQC.


• Ensures that a courteous service is provided by adhering to the Wimpole Street clinic’s Welcome Standards to all Patients, Visitors, Consultants and
• Check the admission list daily and communicate accordingly with the admin, nursing staff and if necessary, with any other key people in the
• To be competent in following the departmental emergency procedures including Fire Alarm, Cardiac Arrest, loss of Switchboard or loss of pager system and any other emergency procedures related to the Front
• Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of
• To assist with and co-ordinate any relevant queries by all
• To assist staff to maintain a safe and secure workplace.
• To assist with and co-ordinate all deliveries to the clinic ensuring the goods material reaches the right
• Ensures that wheelchairs, portable ramps, umbrellas are available and is informed of their whereabouts.
• Promote and abide by private patient gold standard of customer care ensure that professional Customer Service Standards are consistently being
• Provide assistant in the movement of patients in and around all building, including providing portable ramps, wheelchair and assisting staff with moving and handling.
• Deals with issues, requests, and enquiries promptly and courteously, notifying the individuals concerned and follows up





The Royal Brompton Hospital was set up in 1840 by a gentleman by the name of Phillip Rose, he did this to help stop the spread of tuberculosis.
