We are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and are playing an integral part in shaping future health service provision alongside partner health and social care organisations.

We are recruiting due to vacancies and expansion to services with opportunities for Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapists to work in a range of therapy services.

You will require an Occupational Therapy Degree, current HCPC registration. Experience of working with patients in an intermediate care setting is desirable but not essential.

Due to the rotational nature of the post hours may vary depending on the area you are working, however will be an expectation that you are able to work 7am to 8pm, 5 days a week across 7 days.

This post includes the following rotations are are focussed around the south of the county, namely Spalding, Grantham, Bourne and Sleaford.

Adult Community Therapyoffer specialist holistic therapy assessments in patients’ home & care homes, aiming to increase independence & prevent hospital admissions.

Community Hospitals provide care to patients who are stepped down from acute hospital or stepped up from their community setting.

At LCHS we strive to provide excellent patient care, building strong relationships with colleagues in other services & Trusts. We have active involvement in Better Together workshops, participating in Neighbourhood Team meetings, integrated work with nursing teams & other specialist services within LCHS. There are fantastic opportunities for networking & building on skills / competencies. LCHS is dedicated to the learning & development of staff, including the preceptorship programme for newly qualified practitioners & opportunities for career progression.

There is a robust support network from local and countywide Therapy Teams and opportunity to learn from other services and colleagues, making excellent opportunities for newly qualified practitioners. We have a dedicated team of Clinical Practice Educators who deliver a fantastic preceptorship programme.

You will be supported by your seniors, the Therapy Team Leads, Clinical Practice Educators and your peers and you will have the opportunity to support, train and lead staff.

As these are community posts, it is essential that you have the ability to travel between locations to carry out your work and to attend training and meetings: daily access to transport is therefore required.
