Summary


The Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit Bank Doctors to develop on our already established collaborative bank workforce. We are looking to recruit qualified Doctors across grades ranging from ST3 to Consultant grade.

The specialties we are looking to recruit to is as follows:
• Diabetes
• Emergency Department
• Neurology
• General Medicine
• Acute Medicine
• Dermatology
• Paediatrics
• Oncology
• Geriatrics

Our key focus are above areas however we are open to applications from all grades and specialties.

As this is bank work is on an “as and when basis and no guaranteed hours of work. Previous NHS experience is essential when applying to join our Bank.

Duties within the shifts which you are booked to fulfil are:
• to liaise between nurses, other clinicians, patients, relatives in order to support safe care.
• to attend and participate in board rounds, ward rounds and other related daily unit activities.
• to provide appropriate workplace supervision to other staff as and when needed as requested.
• to maintain high standards of professionalism, especially in relation to documentation
• to arrive on time for the shift and be available for work from the arranged start time
• to co-operate with the workforce deployment team in relation to administration of the shift
• to comply with all local policies, including upholding the trust's star values and behaviours

Doctors joining the Trust Medical Bank will be expected to complete pre-employment checks inclusive of GMC registration, satisfactory references, health clearance, enhanced DBS check identity and right to work checks.
