Summary
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Social Worker MASH Team to work part time based in Dudley
The salary for this permanent Social Worker job is up to £ 43,421 pro-rata
Two posts full time x37 hours per week
One post x18.5 hours per week
Main Duties:
• To provide supervision and support to Dudley’s foster carers, to participate in the recruitment of carers and to assess applicant carers
• To access, supervise and support of Dudley’s foster carers
• To undertake the task of duty officer including liaising with district social workers in relation to initial viability assessments
• To keep up to date with legal alternatives in relation to foster carers in accordance with BAAF guidelines and National Minimum Standards
• To attend Fostering Panel and Court as required
• To be accountable for and promote ,equality, diversity and community cohesion to meet Council, Directorate and Service objectives
• All employees have a responsibility not only for their own behaviour, but also for others regarding equality of opportunity
• To participate in a Performance Review and Development meeting and undertake a plan of training where necessary
• Develop his/her own skills and expertise in a professional manner
Requirements of this job:
• Social Work Degree or equivalent (DipSW, CQSW, CSS)
• Social Work England (SWE) Registration
• Knowledge of UK legislation relevant to children and families
• Experience of working with children, young people, and their families
