About the Role:

Are you eager for a fresh opportunity to expand your expertise? We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse, Learning Disability Nurse, or Children’s Nurse to join our secure healthcare team. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will conduct assessments and manage a caseload of patients within a secure setting. Your role will entail holistic care provision, addressing a spectrum of complex needs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Manage a caseload of patients with diagnosed Learning Disabilities or ASD.
• Conduct initial assessments, develop care plans, and implement follow-up procedures.
• Participate in establishment protocols for supporting patients at risk of self-harm/suicide.
• Attend regular supervision sessions and annual performance reviews.
• Provide compassionate support to patients, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff regarding the care of patients with Learning Disabilities.
• Contribute to awareness days and workshops, collaborating with the team to enhance initiatives.
• Engage in Integrated Mental Health Team Referrals meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to at-risk patients.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

Essential:

• Part 1 NMC registration
• 5 years of UK residency history

Desirable:

• Evidence of ongoing clinical development
• Experience in a secure environment
• Degree-level qualification or higher
• Involvement in innovation or change initiatives
• Nurse Prescriber qualification
• Demonstrated experience in delivering value-for-money services
• Possession of a valid driving license
