Summary

Insurance Sales Executive

This role is based in Ashford and will require some travelling to meet prospects. This is a Monday to Friday, 9-5pm, role (35hrs pw) with an hour lunch break. The salary range is £40-45k per annum, depending on experience, and comes with these benefits:

We are looking for someone to support the business strategy of significant growth in the commercial sector. You will build effective relationships, delivering on commercial sales targets, and ensuring customers receive the highest level of customer service by providing a compliant and appropriate insurance and risk management programme.

You will be required to acquire and maintain knowledge of all current insurance products, and contribute to the building of the new business sales pipeline, while building and developing relationships with prospects. You will also deliver sales targets by planning, developing, and delivering sales opportunities, as well as to review, design and advise mid-corporate and complex corporate clients on their insurance portfolios. Identify and secure upsell and cross sales opportunities, plan and implement effective sales and marketing initiatives, build long-term relationships, coach and develop other commercially licensed sellers within the company, and offer excellent customer service, while demonstrating high values of trust and integrity.

It is an essential requirement of this role that the candidate has their own transport and a full, clean, UK driving licence.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A track record in highly driven and ambitious targeted sales role.
  • Proven track record in advising commercial customers on their insurance needs
  • Proven track record delivering excellent customer service
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office
  • Good maths and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Great team working, build relationships through positive behaviours, honesty, & integrity.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, able to use own initiative
  • Commitment to quality & compliance with procedures/regulations
  • Own transport & full UK driving licence

Desirable attributes would be:

  • Proven track record in advising large / corporate commercial customers on insurance needs
  • General insurance qualifications eg Cert. CII or Dip. CII (or equivalent qualifications)
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
