Summary

Our client Scottish Power are currently recruiting for 2x Project Coordinator to join the team based in Cambuslang/Glasgow City Centre.


These are contract role initially for 12 month but likely to be extended.


Job Purpose Statement
Undertaking system analysis to determine load/generation connections, network alterations, reinforcement requirements and to derive solutions in line with Asset Management policies and customer requirements


Accountability Statements
•Responsible for the regulatory aspects of managing connection requests and providing quotations by ensuring that processes and reporting arrangements are in place to meet the regulatory and licence requirements.
•Agree the scope, volumes and unit costs to exploit best value from the regulatory contract
•Integrate asset stewardship values through sound engineering principles, coordinated planning, design and ownership to improve integrity, safety and longevity of the electrical network whilst providing minimum scheme costs for customer connections.
•Responsible for designing 3rd party “Point Of Connection” and design approvals activities within the SPD licence area.
•To drive continual performance improvement through analysis of outputs and feedback from internal and external sources.
•Consider the application of innovative solutions to all designs whether this be technological, procedural or commercial.
•Develop and maintain robust stakeholder and customer relationships on behalf of Scottish Power to facilitate delivery of customer and stakeholder strategic objectives.
•Promote an exemplary safety culture and ensures that all safety legislation is implemented and delivered through all activities and incorporated into project designs.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

•Knowledge of design standards up to HV/LV would be advantageous
•General commercial awareness with the ability to balance customer service, and efficient network design ensuring maximum return on investment.
•Effective stakeholder and customer service engagement and management.
•Ability to communicate and present information effectively at all levels
•Ability to manage competing priorities using sound engineering and financial judgment to determine optimal solutions
•Awareness and understanding of key business drivers and the external commercial context in which ScottishPower is operating
•Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering role.
•Ability to devise solutions to complex problems/challenges.
•Developed skills with network analysis modelling tools LV
•Understanding of network analysis modelling tools HV

Minimum Criteria (mandatory)
•Either a crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ, or equivalent experience
•Experience in a project delivery role
•Relevant network construction and operational experience
•Computer literacy
