Summary

Procter & Gamble (P&G) is a leading global consumer goods company whose winning brands such as Gillette, Pampers and Oral-B are built around the model of innovation.

Do you want to be part of the innovation and technological advancement of products used every day by millions of the world’s consumers?

Then apply for an Engineering Degree Apprenticeship in our Process and Engineering (P&E) department which is a unique 'earn-while-you-learn' opportunity at a top global consumer goods company. This apprenticeship allows you to gain 4 years of business experience while obtaining a fully funded university degree.

If you have a passion for winning, strong leadership examples and a curiosity about pursuing an engineering career we want to hear from you!

What to expect:
Our department is the bridge between design and manufacturing and is always looking for opportunities - whether that's in researching and testing a new technology; improving a piece of equipment's efficiency; or even making a process more sustainable to help reach the company's sustainability goals. We believe that there is always an opportunity to grow and develop.

As part of our team, you will be given responsibility to collaborate with vendors to design, develop and deliver equipment to our global partners, all whilst being supported by highly experienced technical coaches and a career mentor.

The role will be based at the Reading Innovation Centre, an inspiring centre of excellence that delivers R&D innovations for the global markets.

We have chosen to deliver this apprenticeship in partnership with Aston University due to the quality of training offered and the specific degree subject required to enable your success. During a career in the Process & Engineering group, you can expect opportunities for international travel in line with business needs. We therefore wanted our apprenticeship to mirror what a career in P&E at P&G could look like, with travel away from home at periodic times. The time spent at Aston will be in block release (e.g., for 1 week at a time) and further details will be shared for those who come to our assessment day.

Accommodation at Aston will be provided and paid for by P&G, as well as travel costs during these block releases at university. By the end of the four years, the work experience you will have gained alongside your studies will leave you well ahead of your peers with a conventional university degree.

What You Will Gain:
A BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and apprenticeship certificate from Aston University.

Responsibilities and real work from Day 1 – You will be given specific projects and responsibilities working on real and live business challenges, just like a true P&Ger.

Continuous training & coaching – You will work with passionate people and receive both formal training as well as day-to-day mentoring from your manager.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits – This is funded 4-year apprenticeship alongside a competitive annual salary. On top of this you’ll enjoy lots of benefits including 25 days' paid holiday, the option to enroll in our pension, discounted P&G products, perks and flexible working arrangements. To find more information about our benefits package take a look here: https://www.pgcareers.com/benefits

Opportunity for a full-time role – Apprentices who successfully complete the program have the potential to secure a full-time position with P&G after graduation. As a 'build from within' company, our people start at entry level and progress through the organization. When we make a job offer, it’s with the expectation that you will grow into one of our future leaders, and to help you get there, you will work closely with our own skilled engineers for mentoring and coaching at every step.

Evidence of passion and achievements in academic and/or non-academic activities. Tell us what you’re proud of – be it playing a musical instrument or holding down a job alongside your studies. We want to get to know you!
